A gala benefit for children worldwide born with debilitating birth defects

Child Foundation Charity raised over $145,000 to directly benefit children born with debilitating physical birth defects. Child Foundation Charity held its first annual fund raising event on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the Rusty Pelican on Key Biscayne. Over $145,000 was raised and over 450 attended the gala event. 100% of the money raised will directly benefit the children who come to Child Foundation Charity seeking assistance. The evening was hosted by our Event Chair, Mrs. Toni Garner, Executive Director of Child Foundation Charity. The evening began with a cocktail reception and silent auction.

CFC raised not only money but awareness for the need to help children worldwide who are born with treatable physical birth defects. Two prominent Miami Children's Hospital doctors, Dr. S. Anthony Wolfe and Dr. Mislen Bauer, introduced three of the six children that have been helped by Child Foundation Charity and the doctors.

We cannot thank the doctors on our board, Miami Children's Hospital, Baptist Hospital, and Genzyme Theraputics enough for their participation and dedication. We would also like to once again thank the many sponsors, donors and volunteers who made the event possible. Without the support of so many people, our event would not have been as successful.
